Leave

Leave is where staff request time away and track it through to a decision, without needing to ask HR directly. In Testing Hub, Kwame Worqbe's Leave page shows 0 days available and no requests on file yet, since he hasn't submitted one.

Submit a request

1
Click Request leave.
2
Choose a leave type (Annual, Sick, Maternity, Paternity, Compassionate, or Other) and the number of days, then set a start and end date.
3
Give a reason, name a covering colleague, and confirm whether they've been informed. Add handover notes, and attach a file if there's something to hand over.
4
Click Submit request.

Sick leave over 3 days needs a form

Selecting Sick Leave for more than 3 days adds a required Hospital excuse duty form upload to the request.

Track it

The page shows a running summary (all requests, awaiting review, approved) and a request history below it, with each request marked Line manager review, HR review, Approved, or Rejected. The page itself states the approval order plainly: new requests go to the employee's line manager before HR review. For Kwame, that's Kwabena Boakye.

See why a request was rejected

A rejected request shows a View reason button in place of the usual row actions, opening the reason the reviewer gave.

Edit or withdraw a pending request

Edit request and Delete request only appear while a request is still at Line manager review. Once the line manager acts on it, either button disappears; there's no way to change or pull back a request that's already moved to HR.

HR & Payroll > Leave Management covers what happens after submission: the line manager's first approval, then HR's final sign-off.
