Finance & Accounting

Finance & Accounting covers a full accounting workflow: chart of accounts, invoices and bills, budgets, journal entries, multi-currency support, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, and period locking.

What you can do

  • Accounts: your chart of accounts.
  • Invoices & Bills: accounts receivable and payable.
  • Expenses: track organizational spending.
  • Budget: set budgets and track variance against actuals, including a department-by-department breakdown.
  • Journals: manual journal entries.
  • Currency: multi-currency support for transactions.
  • Fixed Assets: a register of organizational assets.
  • Reconciliation: match transactions against bank records.
  • Recurring: templates for transactions that repeat on a schedule.
  • Tax Rates: configure tax rates used across the module.
  • Period Lock: close an accounting period so its transactions can't be edited.
  • Reports: cash-flow forecasting and other financial reporting.

Worqbe doesn't currently run payroll end to end: it provides attendance reporting, a salary overview, and period locking as separate tools, but no automated pay run, pay calculation, or payslip generation.

Use case: review payroll inputs and close a period

1
Navigate to Time & Attendance > Timesheets and use the week controls to open the dates you want to review.
2
Review each employee's recorded hours and attendance status for each weekday. Open sessions are included in the displayed total. Filter the staff list when needed, or export the visible weekly report as CSV or PDF for an offline review.
3
Navigate to HR & Payroll > Payroll to review the number of staff on payroll, total and average salaries, payroll totals by department, and the salary recorded for each staff member. This page is an overview only: it doesn't process a pay run or generate payslips.
4
Navigate to Finance & Accounting > Period Lock, click Lock Period, and set the period end date: every transaction on or before that date is locked.
5
Confirm the lock. Locked transactions stay fully visible and reportable, but can't be edited, deleted, or backdated into.

Timesheets are read-only

The Timesheets page has no approval, rejection, or bulk-select controls, and attendance hours don't sync into a payroll calculation. Reviewing them is a manual check before you close the period.

Locking is reversible, but logged

A locked period can be unlocked to make a correction, then re-locked. Every lock and unlock action is recorded in the audit log with who did it and when, which is useful during an audit or year-end close.
