Quick Setup

After your account and organization exist, these are the steps most organizations take to get their workspace running.

Setup steps

1

Configure organization settings

From Settings, set your organization's display name and logo, business hours and timezone, default language, and notification preferences.

2

Enable the modules you need

Under Settings > Modules, turn on only what your organization needs to start. Common starting points:

  • HR: employee records
  • Attendance: time tracking and shifts
  • Communication: announcements and messaging
  • Projects: task management

Start small

You don't need everything enabled on day one. Start with a few core modules and add more once your team is comfortable.
3

Invite your team

From HR & Payroll > All Staff, click Add Staff to send an invitation with a name, email, department, and role. Invited staff get an email with a temporary password, and appear in your staff list once they sign in.

4

Set up roles and permissions

Under Settings > Roles, review the default roles (Administrator and line manager, alongside the base Employee role every new hire starts with), create custom roles if you need them, and assign module-level permissions.

Role hierarchy

Admins have full access by default; custom roles can be scoped as narrowly as a specific module and action.
