Procurement

Procurement is where staff ask for something to be bought, from office supplies to a service contract, and track it from submission to fulfillment. Every request has to be linked to a project, so Testing Hub's New procurement request button is currently disabled: the organization has no projects yet at all, so there's nothing eligible to pick.

A project has to qualify first

Only a project whose Plans (P1) checklist is fully filled in shows up as an option. If none do, the button disables with the tooltip "No project has completed its Plans (P1) checklist yet."

Submit a request

1
Click New procurement request.
2
Pick the Project this request is for. Every request needs one.
3
Give it a title and describe the business need in at least 10 characters.
4
Pick a category (Office Supplies, IT Equipment, Facility Maintenance, Professional Services, Marketing, Logistics, or Other), a quantity, and an estimated cost with its currency.
5
Set an urgency (Low, Normal, High, or Critical) and, if there is one, a date it's needed by.
6
Optionally pick a Preferred vendor from the dropdown, or leave it as "No preferred vendor" and let Procurement source one.
7
Click Submit.

Closing a started request asks first

If you close the form after entering anything, a confirmation appears before your entries are discarded.

Track it

A Request summary at the top shows all requests, how many are in progress, how many are fulfilled, and their estimated value, grouped separately by currency if you've submitted requests in more than one. The history below shows each request's category, quantity, urgency, needed-by date, estimated cost, preferred vendor if any, status, and submission date.

See why a request was rejected

A rejected request shows a View reason button in place of the usual row actions, opening the reason Procurement gave for the rejection.

Procurement > Requisitions covers what happens after submission: how Procurement reviews a request and moves it toward an order.
